My journey with technology started in the mid-80s at Virginia Tech. It was a time when owning a computer was rare. Virginia Tech was one of the first universities to make students in engineering and computer fields to buy a laptop. Although having to purchase one was a financial burden at the time, this early start utilizing technology helped me build a career in cybersecurity and computer engineering. Now, I see AI as a big new step for future generations just like personal computers were back then.
As a cybersecurity and computer engineering professional, my recent dive into AI has been very enlightening. I see AI’s potential to radically change so many aspects of our lives. I’m a single parent of two boys, and my goal is to teach them all about artificial intelligence so when they become adults, they will be prepared to thrive utilizing artificial intelligence to the fullest. But as I teach my boys about AI, I also want to share what I have learned with everyday folks so that as many people as possible can learn how to use AI to thrive in their own lives.
This blog is my way of sharing my AI knowledge. It’s for my boys and for you. It’s about sharing what I know, not just with my family but with anyone interested in AI. Whether you’re already into AI or just starting, I want to make AI easy and helpful for everyone.
This blog is not focused on building a business using AI. There are already so many entrepreneurs dedicated full time on integrating AI into businesses. My focus is on IA news and tools that everyday folks can make use of in their everyday lives. I’m excited to show how AI tools and apps are changing the world and making tasks simpler.
